The Difference 'Tween Dog & Man

 

What brings the above caveat to mind is one of President Johnson’s rueful reflections:

 

“If you come upon a little puppy, injured on the road, and you pick him up, take him home, feed him, and nurse him back to health, why, don’t cha know, that little pup will stand by you, comfort you, sustain you, and defend you, loyal and supportive to the very end! That’s the difference ’tween a dog and a man.”
